Some more pics. The next morning the weather had changed with even more weed around, so we packed up and headed home.

Might pop down to the river-Harbour somewhere again tonight for a couple of hours or so and see what happens.

Well I went down to the Swan River, at Fremantle Harbour for a few hours last night. I mainly just wanted to stock up on some baitfish ( yellowtail) for future fishing trips. There was heaps of them around and it didn't take long to get a few. I put out a fresh livie just in case anything was cruising around. I used 100lb mono line as my trace and 30lb main line. I said to another fisho maybe I should use wire trace in case a shark comes along but decided against it. Well shortly later I got a screamer of a run and was expecting maybe a Mulloway but after a short struggle it bit the mono trace through. Bummer Its not often you actually get sharks from here, so I missed out.
Had quite a bit of fun on the small rod though. First the baitfish-yellowtail, then I thought I'd drop the line down amoungt the pylons and see if there were any bream around. Using prawn baits it didn't take long and managed four silver bream and one flathead. Not real big but good fun and a nice way to spend a few hours. The bream and flathead were released.

You don't catch fish by staying home.
