    Default mojo returns

The last month has been slim pickings for me. The blackies were just not coming to my party with only a few tiddlers squeezing in around the time of evening when my Petzl comes out. I have blamed it on everything from sunny days to algae blooms to there just been a army of blowies in the Canning river so thick i swear i could walk on their backs and cross to the other side. How can any other spieces of fish get to my lure when there is a million toads jumpin' my artificial???

Finally, the clouds surrounded, the winds blew hard and the water surface chopped up. Guess what? I had a ripper session with constant slams from bream feeding in the stired up water! My faith has been restored and my mojo is back baby.

Good to see that they're still out there Pete.
Think I'll have to have a crack at them in the next few days.

    Cheers Nath

Nath, i think the local Perth waters will be a downer after the fish of Exmouth.

Good to see you get amoungst some again.
Not wrong on them blowies in the river They're like that in the Swan River too A big bait is chewed up in no time. Mulies get chewed up just about as quick as you cast them out. One minute if your lucky. The only time the bigger baits last a little longer is when the tide is running fast.

Nice work pete do you ever head up above the old Shelley bridge ?
i used to fish up there from a canoe and you can find some serious blackies up there without the blowies

Head up to the sticks and find the sunken barge its an easy paddle from aquinas bay at high tide you can sit on top of the barge and get busted up all day dont discount the other side not many craft get over by the sea scouts building and theres lots of good structure over there .If you have the time (and fittness) the upper reaches are doable from there just be sure to head back before the sea breeze kicks in Adrian

Fished about that area a little bit Adrian, the seabreeze does make things a bit hard when it kicks in and I feel like Solo-man from the old adds.....
