Hey rufasguts, I'm unfamiliar with the place you have mentioned. Hopefully someone from the east coast will help you out mate.

Also can't help you out, but welcome to the forum from The wild West Rufasguts. Everyones gone a bit quiet at the moment, must be getting ready for Chrissy.
Hopefully you get a few fish and put up a report here when you get back.
    Good luck.

Thanks to all who has replied - the area is south of Brisbane around the Logan river area.

The Logan River has a healthy Bull Shark population, live mullet floated is the go.You can cast net the live mullet in any of the cane drains in the Jacobs well area. Nerang river is close as well, all the usual river species...bream, flathead, whiting and jacks ( if you put the time in )
You're about 20 mins from the coast there too. There is a cheap book out 500 Hot Fishing Spots and GPS Co ordinates from Cooktown to Byron. That should get you started. Cant help you on the prawns though
