    Default Big Girl

Wind was blowing nice and strong from the SW so i thought it was time to fish some chop. I have found out over the last year that chop pushes baitfish towards the shore in the direction the wind is blowing. At my arrival at the bank i could see the odd splash of bait in the murky little waves. A short cast from the bushes into 60cm water and my Smith Camion gets smashed. I release the bream but the treble is damaged so i change over to an sx40. A few more cast, a few more bream then a big girl tailwalks in the shallows. What a sight, a 54cm bartail getting air in the skinny stuff..........

Pete - Great pic's mate, it would have been cool to see that stuff. Those flatys are fat ugly and it's good to see them getting caught by lure's, not just bait like the good old day's.

Argh there are those dreaded barbs sticking out on the side of that flatty - bloody things they are.

Nice work Pete and you are getting good with that Camera buddy.

    Cheers - Ben

Ugly bugger alright but certainly a nice size. Well done.
I'm off to try and get a few more Tarwhine tonight.

    Great pics as usual Pete,

Had flathead for dinner last night, YumMMMM Looked like a solid little flattie. Do you live far from the water?

    Cheers
