    Default Canning River

I went for a short stroll along the banks of the Canning today and stumbled onto a school of choppers. They were just tiddlers but they kept up their feeding spree in front of me for an hour. Sx40's, bass minnows and little halco slices all produced the little tailor. With barely a ripple in other spots on the river, the mirror calm conditions kept the bream skitish. I sighted many but landed very few.

Once again great photos Pete, and sounds like you had a nice little session there mate.
But tell me, did you have any 'Cut offs' on those tailors? Even at that size they sure look like they have sharp teeth.

I've only ever caught small Choppers here in Tassie...

Does the bream front go fairly quiet over the 'cooler' months over your way Pete?

    Nice pics

Beevor, yep the flats around my neck of the woods go quieter with the cold and the fresh coming through. You got to head further towards the lower reaches of the Swan River and fish the deeper water, yacht clubs, bridges etc.....

I'm up for using any lures, as long as they are sexy!
