Two Sundays ago I fished Beeibi creek at Toogoom. The bait was being hammered time after time and i couldn't get a hit on metal blades. It wasn't until i saw a massive lizard head smashing the bait that I realized that it was time to throw a shallow running hard body. 15 min later I got smashed and thought it was a shovel nose shark but to my surprise a 75 cm Flathead. It was a bit of an effort steering my bow mount with a strong moving tide and landing it in what i thought was a decent net.
To my delight a young woman on the bank was happy enough to take some photos.
