    Default prawns

With the lure of fresh prawns awaiting to be eaten i decided to head back to one of my favourite places to see how things where looking.

The wind died down and it was time to go batteries charged headlights working and nets in order we set off. I guess we took 3 steps in and the red glare from the prawn eyes where obvious they where hear and in good numbers and size. My 1st thought is about 8-10kg tonight but that was soon to change. With more prawns than u can poke a dab net at we had over 3kg in short order when the worst happened my prawning buddy yelled "$%#%" he had stood on an oversize cobbler(saltwater catfish) and in turn it had spiked him thru the waders and into the ankle. That was the end of our night but after 4 hrs of hot water treatment he stopped complaining lol.

Here is a pic of what we got before the incident

Shane, buddy, old friend....... I LOVE PRAWNS!

Can't believe the cobbler spike went through the waders, unlucky.

I'll have to come down your way, I'll bring the garlic....lol

Sweeeet! That feed of prawns would sure make the hot water treatment and cobbler sting cool down pretty quickly! Right through the waders and in the ankle, though, not cool.

Interested as to what kind of nets you use prawning over there.

Mmmmm Prawns....Yummy! Sorry to hear about your mates injury, and that you had to abort your mission.
Out of curiosity...are they Tiger Prawns?
And l imagine that you would be scooping them up with a net....not a cast net?
    Enjoy the feed!
