    Default Fighting Whiting

    Hi all

You never know what will happen next while lure fishing.
Check out this crazy whiting which nailed a barra minnow.
Not sure if you was trying to eat it or mate with it.

    Cheers
    Dave

Greedy little bar steward! For a fish that can sometimes be very lure shy (or even shy of everything) that pic is a statement and a half.

Maybe the "match the hatch" approach on fly isn't the direction the fluffchuckers should be heading in.... I see slim mini poppers and little baitfish imitations coming on.
    Ultralight RULES!!

Wow, seen plenty of Bream, flathead, bass etc. Eating lures almost the same size as themselves. But never whiting! Thanks for the post, real interesting how agressive they can be!
