Happy to say I was stoaked is a understatement, the best thing about it is that I got to see the whole battle, being that the water was so clear and shallow.
Watching this guy darting between the rocks really had the hart pumping.
Chook I think the area is called the David Cheong reserve just head down towards Slade Point and go to first rocky point you come to, maybe try hard can explain it better.

yer mate, David cheong reserve is the name, theres a dodgy old boat ramp accross from the houses, generally from there out to the point is good fishing. make sure u run heaver leaders around there...plenty of toothy critters.

check it out on a low tide to find a few good looking spots.

    Hey thanks mate.
Went for a quick flick today, using a stiffy minnow first cast caught a nice size mullet, leaped out of the water as well, a few casts later and I got smashed after a little fight my leader broke and I lost my new lure
Decided to go home but I know that tomorrow I'm going to bye a couple more stiffy minnows.

First time I ever used one and first cast I got this.

It was the first time i've ever caught something on a hb besides a popper.
