    Default Cairns Inlet

    Hey Guys,

Took the kids for fish today down the inlet. With a 12:30 low we decided early on to try a lure only day. We had intended on starting up the top reaches and working our way down with the tide casting to any likely looking snags or drains.Inlet 001.jpg
Caught this little fella drifting along an edge towards a creek junction using Tilsan Barra. Couple of casts later caught a little flathead ( 45cm ) off the very next snag. It amazes me still to pull flatties off what you would call a Jack/ Barra snag. Needless to say the kids love eating the odd flattie so he didn't make it back to his spot.

Missed a Jack later in the morning and caught a little GT, so was a little quiet, although extremely hot. But it was anothertrip spent with the kids doing what we love best so catching fish is always a bonus!
