    Default Another jack thread

So I went down to one of the beaches today for a fish.
I ended up at Shoal pt trying to chase a couple of bream, had a 6pd leader and I was flicking around a stiffy minnow in some pretty rough country when all of a sudden something smashed it and was off.
Next thing I know I was snagged, but I could see that my line was close to me so I walked around the rocks a bit and gave my rod a few flicks, old mate was still there and decided to have another run, this time I was more prepared and managed to get his head up and drag him over to me.
To my surprise it was a little jack of 33cm the first one i've ever caught, I took some photos of him then released him.
His no where near the size of the ones that people have been catching lately but it's the best one and the only one that i've caught, so i'm pretty happy.

Thanks mate, I can't wait to get a bigger one, they just hit so hard, I just thought it must of been a killer bream until I saw it.

Congrats on the first Jack cobber!

I remenber my first and that was something like 30 years ago now!

They get bigger, and they get smaller, but each one is a win!
