holiday of firsts

[fishin over school]

hello everybody

i went on my week long holiday to broadwater haven
which is located at the mouth of deepwater creek and
broadwater creek. i got my first fish on a popper a tiny trumpter in the shallows on a bubble pop 45 frank did say the place copped a beating over the holidays. i went exploring and found a deep gully at low tide along the mangroves and i got my first whiting on a popper this was on a clear gilles popper i also got heaps of hit but the fish could not find the hooks one hit made the funnest sqwekey noises ever then i decide to hit the sand banks with the run out tide and caught a flatty and a estuary
cod on a squidgey bug also firsts. then me and dad decided to have a beach fish as we found a nice gutter before hand
dad is a bait man the only lure he uses is when we go spinning but still he used live yabbies and i used a raider second cast was smashed by a decent fish which fought hard and ended up being a nice dart (my first dart)dad got 4dart on yabbies and i got 5 on raiders. we went back early the next mornin and got some more dart and i got a bloody big longtom up
to the bank but he got off dad also lost a big queenie at the boat.
other than that we got heaps of moses perch on bait in the creek.

Congratulations on getting so many firsts. I bet its exciting seeing a fish darting around and attacking your popper. Good stuff!

Congratualtions on all your FIRST's!! Its always pretty special when you catch the first of each species & I have no doubt that you will remember the exact time & place for the rest of your life!!...

Gotta love that Popper fishing also, its pretty dam exciting isnt it!!

i really want to get some jacks we tried heaps for them but sill didnt get them
looking foward to jewie season we get heaps of them on bait but i really want to get one on a lure that would be really special
