    Default No Jacks

With a hot humid day I thought I was in with a chance for a Jack or 2.
Not to be, I was pestered by Cod for most of the session. Lost a few fish but won a few battles.
Using the light gear 50 lbs Main and 60 lbs leader..Egrell S10 and a Certate 3500 HD
Biggest went 70 odd cm and the smaller 5o odd
All released to smoke the unsuspecting again

Those cod are a good feed Leighton, I'd of kept one. Better luck next time on the jacks, if there are cod there I bet there are jacks too.

    Nice effort Leighton.

You've obviously been smoked a few times to be fishing the heavy stuff hey???

Dids is right, there'll be jacks there, but then again, the cod is nothing to be unhappy about.

    Top fish mate!

    Dids

Yeah Dids, landed Jacks from the spot
The bigger Cod was to nice to keep, I'm sure he has been there a while sucking down everything he can and doing his job, he had a bit of Jewellery down his throat from a run in with a Gamagatsu
I have also been told , how true im not sure but removing Cod from an area does make the Jacks shy off.
Jeff, the area is a nightmare to fish, oysters, current and predators to bury you
