    Default Gulp Rules!

    Gday folks,
Had a nice little sesh this arvo down under the Ron Cam Bridge. Final tally was 3 Flathead to 53cm and 4 Bream to 29cm. All fish cought on a mix of 2in Gulp Shrimps in Banana Prawn and 3in Gulp Minnows in Smelt and Pumkinseed. We spooked a lot a big Flathead in one little spot and soon after Joel was hooked up to a massive one. The reel was screaming and then she just decided to stick to the bottom. He was running 2lb line so he had no way of lifting the heavy fish back up. We moved back down to a rocky area and started fishing off a massive oyster encrusted pipe that crosses the river. Was pretty trippy trying to stand upright in a 30 knot breeze and with a very strong run out tide ripping underneath making an optical illusion. Our risk was soon rewared and the hits started to come left, right and centre. Joel even managed 2 Bream in 2 casts! Despite being a few bag of Gulp and jigheads down it wasn't a bad run for a bit over 4 hours.

    Cheers guys,
    Isaac

Chewy - theres quite a few nice barra and jacks there mate, along with a truckload of queenies at certain times. I needed a bream fix so that's what we chased!
