Forster Sqidgies Flathead Classic

The second Forster Sqidgies Flathead classic is over for another year.
25 teams competed in perfect weather,over 100 flathead were caught over the 2 days with a change in format this year going by length not weight.The comp is fished over 2 days with 2 sessions a day with 2 fish per session measured in.The winning Team was Manning River Marine with just over
4 metres for their 8 fish,the biggest fish was just over 800 mill long. there were a lot of fish caught between 600 and 800 mill.Our team Ken Morgan Painting Services Bream Banger JigHeads finished a creditable 6th place with 3.2 metres of fish from only 6 fish.All up it was a fantastic comp fish in a relaxed way.The Flathead comp was the start of the week long Forster Fishing Carnival which finishes next weekend with the ABT Mega Bucks Bream. This Fishing carnival is only going to get better so I would put this one on your calendar for next year.
