    Default Vines Creek Still Producing

    Gday guys,
Went down to Vines Creek early this morning for another crack at some flathead. Again me and Dad had the Stiffy Minnows tied on straight up in the morning and we didn't have to change lures through the whole session.

It was bloody freezing wading around knee deep in water with a 20kt S/E blowing directly at ya back so the fish were going to be a lot harder to find.

After 15 minutes Dad finally managed to convert one of the hits he'd been getting into a nice little 40cm fish.

I evened the score a few minutes later with a smaller fish.

By the time we'd fished our way up to the barra snag we still only had 2 small fish and a few hits to show for our efforts...mind you, most of our effort was going into keeping warm! The cold was a bit of a shock to the system I can tell you now!

We caught a few bream soon after and Dad and I were still tied 2 fish a peice.

    Pig...

    26cm...

I finally managed to get 1-up on Dad with a nice 52cm Dusky.

This fish fell just as the tide turned so we called it a day only an hour after we started fishing....IT WAS TOO COLD!

    Cheers Isaac

    HI Isaac,

great stuff as always. Are those hook standard on the little stiffy's or upgrades. Have you found they alter the action of the lure? do they suspend?

    Cheers

    Cheers guys,

Happy - The hooks on that lure are a few sizes up in the Owners. Gives ya a bit more gap to play with when ya hook a bigger fish - also makes the lure suspend like a dream!

Went back down again today with everyone. Joel and Bryce baitoed up a few nice bream whilst Brook and I stuck with the lures. I managed 3 small flatties on the Stiffy Minnow and Brook nailed I think 5 duskies and a little GT on Squidgy fish.

    Cheers Isaac
