    Default Sunday Lizards!!

    Hi All,
Last night we decided we’d head over to Gladstone for the day, fishing. We got to Gladstone right on low tide at 9am, as we slept in. Launched the boat and off we went. We travelled about 25minutes ended up in a large creek, so we decided that’s where we would fish for the day. We had salmon following our lures, we lost a trevally and a fingermark, as the spat our lures back. We managed 4 good flathead for the day. I also got my pb flathead at 69cm long. All our fish were caught on lures and Had a great day fishing!
    Cheers Katie

    Gday The Jeks Family,

There is something missing in this report....argh that is it - BARRA! hehe.

Great flatties guys and decent size fish there....I love a big flatty, they love to gulp ya lures down and nice big headshakes....they sure know how to work a leader down that is for sure.

That would of been a alrighter to see some Salmon - appears a few are getting aound at the moment.

Top Effort guys and thank you for sharing.

    Cheers- Benno

Chewy, We used both soft plastic and hardbodys, but the hardbodys had the most success. We were using small 10ft hardbody lures, cranked down to the bottom and worked slowly making it stir the bottom up. The Fireblood stayed at home. I got my flathead on my Shimano Coriolis reel with Starlo Stix 3-5kg rod.

Talina, with the Helicopter first we thought it was a bomb then we thought it was transporting beacons but we think it was doing low Aerial Survey. So we were safe!

Here dinner for you, Yummy crumbed fresh flathead fillets with chips. Yummy!!
    Enjoy!

    Thanks Katie
