Default 70cm Flattie & a Couple of Trevs from Noosa

River here has been fishing tough but there are still a few fish knocking about.
Over the last few days I have fished in the afternoons and managed to pick up
a Longnose Trevally,A Cale Cale and a few big eye Trevally.
Had another quick session this afternoon and scored a beautifull, very fat 70cm flattie which after a couple of pics was released.

Then as a reward for letting that flattie go, a tailor decided he would have a go and bit me off... .......Few pics.....

    Cheers,
    Pete

Nice to get out for a late arvo bash in this weather, with the bonus of a few fish.
I just wish I could do the same at present.
Top marks for the photos,I really like pic 3, love the detail in that photo of the flatheads head.

There's been a lot of bait hanging where you got that frog pete.
I got a Cale Cale there last week too. A bit bigger than that one.

    Good work.

O.k Pete, who takes these pics mate, cause they always turn out awsome!!!

And also, just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many species of trevally there are?

    Cheers Nath

Good stuff pete. Hopefully I'll get down the coast soon to tangle with a few crocs before the flatty classic. Got a bump from a jack on a gladiator prawn rigged snagless yday off a red fish. Wish we had more trevs round here. Cheers. Keith

Nice flatty mate. Your not kidding the river is tough, my trip was the slowest trip I've had at Noosa, I needed a little local knowledge. (or a net) Like U say plenty of big herring around, you'd think the predators would be into 'em. Maybe their to well fed.

Cheers, we need to get together one day

There are a LOT of trevally species!!!!!!! Most of them can be found in Australian waters too. Most fish guide books have about 3-4 pages of the suckers.

    Nice session Pete.
    Ultralight RULES!!
