Default Few Fish From Noosa Recently

Been some nice fish cruising the river, although they are on the move fast chasing the bait schools and its a matter of being in the right location at the right time.
One recent session saw me arrive to one of my spots and there was big bust ups everywhere right in front of me.....within ten minutes the action completely stopped and you would never know the fish had even been there.
They turned out to be very nice Tea Leaf Trevally and I landed a couple on plastics.
Also been some very nice Cale Cale Trevally around....I picked up one the other morning and Nick picked up one tonight just on dusk.
Nicks was a good fish and he had a great fight with the fish on light gear.
Again plastics were doing the job.
Also picked up a very small jack on a popper in one of the creeks.

    Cheers,
    Pete

It's a strange place the Noosa River!

A couple of years ago you couldn't catch a Cale Cale, now we are getting them most trips, at the moment they are the most prevalent trevally in the river.

The GT's are very few and far between, same as the Bigeyes of late, and the Tealeaf is slowly starting to make an appearance again.

Previous years, these three trevallies were as common as, with no Cale Cales at all hardly!

Also, last year or 2 saw a lot of Diamonds caught, this year, hardly any.

Goes to show what a nomadic specie of fish the trevallies are hey?

I saw the whales as well this morning Dids, and I found the leak in my boat........crack in the hull.

    Nice pics as per usual.

We got a few more tf today Pete, they weren't going as hard. But we landed more as we weren't being stupid stuffing around on locked drag ect. Also got a double hook up and both landed.

    Thanks for the report Pistol...

I read somewhere once that Australia has 27 species of Trevally! How many can you get up your way??
