couple of 38 ish pups in maroochy tonite, and beaten by a few, nath had a shocker droppin 4 fish....he not a happy lad...stormy weather does it again...

Deano, the Dids and myself fished the Maroochy last night for 1 stinkin' cattie.

It was the only hit we had all night. We fished for 8 hours too, had beautiful baits, water was high 27's, run out tide.

Lures before dark, livies and flesh baits during the dark...............zero.

We might have to come and fish "your" part of the Maroochy hey?

I might add though, we did find some nice looking ground up there.

Great Fish Dids,

Any jack over the 50cm mark is a trophy fish and special.

Is the blood Prawnstar a fav jack lure? Intresting the red is the first colour lost under water. Obviously the action,movement and clicking noise gets the red devils fired up and angry!!

Andrew, have you fished weedless plastics for ya jacks!!! Once mastered it opens up so much more fishing grounds that once you would never of thrown a lure near for fear of snags. The aggressive nature of jacks is their downfall, with this presentation 90% of time you will get a positive hookup in the top jaw or hinge without setting the hook. The atomic prongs are gold for this type of fishing.

To be honest, I'm not sure, but I think it's my first jack on one. But I will be using them a lot more in the same circumstances, deep holes where I can't get a HB lure to fish correctly. They open up a hole new area to fish. Creek Vermin (Keith) is the man to talk to on P/stars, he's invested a lot of his time there.
