Default sydney harbour mon 7th june

haven't put a report up for a little bit, so thought i better this time,
was feeling very sick ( cough cough ) yesterday so happy gilmour came up with a way to aid my recovery, we hit the harbour for a flick session
we hit the ramp about 5.30 and braved the cold to motorout into the main arm of the harbour, looking for signs of fish feeding, but seeing none we started at a point with some good current flow over it, right out the front of Krudds place at kirribilli house. we picked up a couple of undersized squire on plastics and vibes but that was it so a move was called for.
we motored around a couple of headlands till we rounded bradley's head and thought we woud have a couple casts at some fishy looking country, when a few boils started around the boat, and aaron hooked the first decent fish of the day,

on a bass vibe, can;t remember what it was called, then it was my turn on a stiffy devilfish vibe,

and they were quickly followed by a mix of species including trevally, flatties, squire and leatherjackets.

and a bugger of a flatty that broke my vibe in half

then the weather closed in so we decided to make a run for some shelter

we hit some boat hulls and wharves for bugger all so we then headed up the lane cove river to fish a flat aaron found on another trip, we used vibes only and had some fun with bream, flatties and whiting

all up it was a great day out and helped me recover from my illness so i can now face work today.
thnx aaron for a top day on the water

    cheers clint

    Hi Clint,

Had a good time yesterday catching plenty of fish, although not huge , plenty of numbers which is good for the future of the harbour.

Blades where the standout lure of the day. I threw Evergreen little maxs and TT blades in both bright and dark colour depending on the light conditions we had. Was a shame not to find a legal squire but the numbers caught was promising and wont be long to find a few bigger versions.

Forgot to pack the camera so thanks goob for the mobile pics. Conditions were all over the place yesterday and water temps in some areas was right down to 15' degrees!!!

Cannot beleive how much better the harbour fishes during the weekd compared to the weekend so will have to plan a few more mid week trips!!!!

    Cheers

Thanks for the report goob. I think you may have helped Aaron over his sickness as well.
Good to see you finally got a small break in the weather to let you get out there.
