    Default Dumbleton

Two little buddies of mine have been up me to take them fishing before school holidays end. With 30knot winds and record rainfall for September our options were few.
We decided to head to Dumbleton Weir. After about half an hours trek through some serious bush, down an overgrown river bank and over some large rocks , it was time to fish.
In no time I was into a nice Barra of about 80cm, but I dropped him right at my feet. Next thing Zac was onto one aswell, but it blitzed him into the snags.
Zacs next bait had him hooked up on a smaller fish, but it still gave him heaps.
Just a catfish, stoked none the less.

    Eel

With the bite shuting down, we headed upstream to some quiter waters. It wasnt long until i was onto a baby Barra.

The boys got some action aswell

It was a fun trip for all of us.
The following day i managed to catch a big fat idiot. Me.

Those rocks can be pretty productive, surprised you didnt get into some jacks. I have only ever been up there with my kayak paddling up the river is easier than walking through the bush
