Interesting thread Dids.... even our honey hole is quiet and this next week theres going to be more rain and we have not had a day of 30 plus degrees yet and we are in December. now to look at last yeah.... I caught Jacks and Barra by the plenty as of September and was fishing in 30 plus in August, and again in September... The northerlies where blowing, and water temp was high but stable.... This yeah temprature is all over the joint, day temp are slowly getting there but not yet made it, winds well SE most of the time and the rains well they are constant... Salinity is down, bait well I have to say is Thick! a few casts in the sound found hundreds of herring, maroochy mullet are thick, and elsewhere The bait is easy to get. Only thing is the bait is lower in the system.......

The fish will fire if we get a break in this current weather system, and the rains cease for a while... who knows the reason for the winter jacks this year is that they senced that the weather was failing and kept chewing when otherwise they would relax a little???

Hey Pete, how do u rate the Patriarch? Do u have any knowledge of the other sizes? Trying to work out which one would equate to a 3/4000 size reel.

    Hi Pete,

Mate I have just got two patriarchs.

The one you want is model number 9540.
It is the 3/4000 size reel and perfect for Barra/snapper plastics.

They are very nice reels and I have really enjoyed using them.
Cosmetically they look pretty sexy with a good design, they are very smooth and extremely light (some of the lightest reels on the market actually).
The drags are more than ok but for Barra you could throw in some carbontex and it would be one top reel.

    Cheers,
    Pete

    Pete....Thats the ones.

Chriso......Camera is a Canon s90 and I use the program it comes with.
Only editing I commonly do is resizing and cropping mainly.
To be really honest some of these cameras around are pretty dam good and if you learn the functions you can take some good shots pretty easily.
I have taken the time to shoot in RAW mode but it can be a little more time consuming.
