    Default Catching Tings with Shane

Today I had the pleasure of heading out with Shane (robersl) for a fish at Pumicestone passage. We would have been on the water by about 2pm. We started off flicking plastics, getting plenty of hits but no hookups. We motored around for a bit more flicking until the tide was low enough to get some yabs. Once we had a few off we went to hopefully catch something? Straight away Shane was on within minutes of pulling up at our next spot, up comes an... undersize bream. For a while that was the story, by then I was thinking Shane should have my name (ubk) . Shane also had some fun with a large ray, not sure how big as he only got it high enough to see the sinker then it was off! But it wasn't long before the tings came up, and some nice size ones and my PB ting at 32.5 cm and a nice little ray for some fun! Anyhow we left with a nice feed of ting once the yabs ran out.
Oh and this little fellar must have thought snodge was coming out..
And a big thanks to Shane for the arvo!

Glad you guys had a top day. The rays are always good for a bit of fun on lite gear.

Now as for renaming the catty to snodgefish, I am unsure that I am worthy of that honour. I do think after the recent mondy weekend that the real king of catties has shown his hand and they now should be called the peterfish

yeah, saw the water quality, but thought it may heve been from the arvo surface chop.
