Default good weather for fishing..... if your a duck

Headed down early this morning to try fix my surface bug while a mate tagged along to try out his new outfit trion/symetre. I am slowly converting him from bait

First few casts off my stiffy top dog got inhaled by a decent cod a few headshakes later it threw the hooks. So much fun watching the big boil behind the lure then to see the cod leap out and slap its tail on the way down.

5 minutes later my mate got a just legal bream on a popper. first fish on a popper so he was wrapped. 20 minutes later a fouled popper equaled a quick burn in to fix it about 4m from the edge smashed by a trev and snapped a treble Spewing..

I tied on a sx40 that i recently purchased and got nailed with a short run then the hooks thrown couple casts later christened it with a cod . With not much else happening i put on a 100mm wriggler few small shakes of the rod tip and it was nailed to an unstoppable about 40m down river it pinged me on a rock . It felt like a trev to me but who knows. You get that on 5lb braid / 6lb leader though

moved over to plastics and picked up a few cod and a moses ( one greedy cod with more then it could chew ) and my first golden on a plastic. My mate caught 2 cod i think.

Anyway picture time... I always ramble
