    Hi Guys, some of the members may be interested in the results of one of the major fishing comps held in Brisbane this weekend, all fish weights are gutted and gilled.

    A 1.68kg Bream gutted and gilled? That's a bloody big Bream! Have to be 45cms?

    Hi Wayne, congrats on the whiting.I thought you would be in with a show with that fish.Any whiting over 40cm I reckon is a good one and 43 cm would be hard to beat most times.Some other top captures there also - looks like a good year up your way now the weather is little settled.

    Thanks guys, Pete this comp seems to attract large bream, last years winner and runner up were both over 1.9kg gutted and gilled.

    Don't have a photo of this years fish but do have one from a couple of years ago over 1.8 kg gutted and gilled.

    Keith the jack is just over 60cm and is 1 of over a dozen caught recently by Alex in the Seaway, he got another 55cm plus fish on Saturday on livies.

    I work with him and told him how the mature fish school up in the Seaway in April -May then leave for offshore never to return.

    He did drop a couple of bigger ones, that he couldn't hang on too but that's fishin, cheers wayne
