Evening AA, headed on up to Maroochy to meet the old boy up there and have an evening fish, hoped to get into some flatties or jew.
We hit up a spot suggested to us but we didn't have any luck, plenty of casts and plastic changes but no prevail. We shifted up a bit further and had no more luck just a hell of a lot of mud, couldn't see the poor placcies from it all!!!
So we thought stuff it, let's check out this barra park we past on the way here. We got there an hour before shut and decided to take in the light gear for some fun. I went in with the expectation of it being like shooting fish in a barrel so to say? However it was not the case.. more like mini Mondy!!! Though with out the catties to keep Snodge amused
On almost every lure and plastic we were getting a hit, but coming close to the shutting time, I somewhat cracked and chucked on a pallet on an unweighted hook! And bam I was on pretty quickly, he was quite a bit of fun on 6lb line! He would have gone close to 55, I reckon a 70 would have made for some fun on 6lb . He also had a sweet purple colouring on his head! Anyhow while it may have been a farm barra it was good fun none the less Was also good to catch up with the old boy again!
Cheers Ben
P.s Better not forget to mention my photographer who probably got more hits then me and dad combined but unluckily didn't get one!
