    Default Better than the lounge

Rob rang late Saturday arvo and asked if I was keen for a fish, at that point I was comfy on the lounge but after him telling me of his efforts the night b4 I was swung. He fished solo Friday night catching a heap of soapies and a big fat 56cm Bass.
My first fish with Rob in his new Hornet, very tidy rig as you would expect from the master.
Met him at the ramp at 7pm and after he scolded me for not bringing beer we dodged the logs to his chosen spot.
First cast started a procession of Jew and flathead, 2 of the flatties came home for dinner.
Rob was sticking with the 4in gulps and I was moving through the tackle box.
I got a solid hit on a 5in Hollowbelly that played up a heap more that the fish previous, into the light came a very solid Bass, unfortunately the hook got hung up on the chine and the fish escaped, could that have been the elusive 60cm Bass? we will never know.
After a cuppa Rob moved the boat around the other side of the structure and on the same lure I came up tight on another good fish. This one behaved a bit better and Rob slipped the net under my PB wild Bass, 56cm and fat. Cuppla piccies and she went back to continue her duties, I will thanks her every time I catch a wild Bass next season.PB Bass Mat.jpgPB Bass (3).jpg

So there you go, 2 56cm Bass in 2 nights for us and a heap of soapies and lizards, top fun, thanks to the master.

    Great stuff Pete & Rob,

That bass is due for a Jenny Craig appointment...not just full of roe but fat as well!

Nice way to spend a Saturday night.

    Cheers
