Herring at the Pin

Just wanting to know if anyone has caught herring at the pin for bait and if so, in what sort of location. From previous trips elsewhere, we have been successful using them live for lizards.
I have caught hardyheads there and they should achieve the same results but I prefer herring.

Years back we used to jig our live bait jigs along the edge of the mangroves Graham. Used to get stacks. Don't see why it would be any different now.
Your cast net will come in handy too.

Will be able to tell ya tomorrow mate as I'll be chasin council shovels, jewies and smashin cans all day there! Should be plenty in the deep water round jacobs well jetty and in the eddies round short I'm thinkin.
