I have caught a few on the GC in winter at night on plastics and also on live bait.
Bracey, I thought it was you, FLASH boat mate. Yeah was supposed to leave on dark (that's what I told the missus, but you know how it is, I got flickin some prawnstars on the rock bars and before I new it it was 8 o'clock). Just the one red fish about 45cm. Broke my Egrell ( see other post)

Hi dids, I did my first serious fish for jack last Sat night in the Burrum, at a spot that I know produces winter jacks. Not a bite all evening, high tide was 8.30pm, fished it from 6.30 to 10.30pm.Moved spots 3-4 times.
Sat was the night before full moon and the current was strong. I definitly prefer half moon tides for jacks.
cheers

nice dids bet that means its summer already for you
No Chris, I went to my favorite jack grounds down your way last night, and didn't get a touch (except a PB catfish), can't wait for summer. I did find a new creek that I think will go off though.
It's gunna be a great Summer I can feel it in my bones.
