I think we gave that a go as well Jeff. Some very nice drop offs around that area.

Very Jacky Ben, right through to the fresh, seen it all from where you fished, to the Hwy, boating, kayaking and walking the banks. I've caught quite a few Jacks along this stretch of water along with some awesome Bass in the upper reaches. There's a special spot that can only really be accessed by kayaks and very small tinnies, known in these parts as the Hidden Lakes which are situated in the Mooloolah National Park.

What would you say if I told you I know first hand that a 125cm Barra was caught within a few km's of where you caught that Flatty?

It's a great piece of water if you know it, fishing it at the right time of year, along with the tide times, especially if you want to access the Hidden Lakes, fighting the tides in a kayak to access them can be near impossible sometimes.

Pretty close Spaded, closest spot to launch your kayak is from Parrearra. We used to launch our boat there too but suburbia has stopped that. How live changes, I can remember when all that area was just bush tracks, no one knew about accessing the river there and the ones that did were obviously keen on their fishing.
