I went today out to the rock groin where Ben caught his first wild jew( i'm jealous) but had a cracking late fish. Landing 15whiting on sand Gulp plastics sizing up to 31cm-26cm. Also as i just arrived my new friend Glen that i met with ben on sat caught a lovely queen fish on a pink soft plastic with a treble attached to the single hook. Glen also said he was only there for about 20-30 mins and was just about to leave for a doctors appointment.

later on as the sun was getting higher i saw big schools of whiting rapidly swimming away as there was another decent queenie having lunch so i changed my lure to a Rapala xrap XR6 clown and cast it around a bit. given about 20-40 cast i was just about to give up then i got smashed!!!!!!!!!! my 6lb braid on my 3000 rarenium matched with a 1-3k patriarch was just peeling off within seconds. It was a long fight with light gear but i did get him in but the only problem is, i left my lip grips in my bag on the floor and didn't know what to do. So i climbed up a few rocks to get the grips then snaps on 8lb leader there goes my queenie with the xrap. oo well was great fun on my whiting gear will be going out tomorrow for another good fish
