Default A few fish to keep me smiling

My brother and I went for a paddle in the small creek that is just down the beach from us this morning. The weather was nice and hot and we were hoping to snag a few Barra before the season closes. I had already caught a nice 64cm model and a few other rats in the previous week on the starlo walk the dog lure, so the chances were looking promising. We approached the creek to find schools of tarpon rolling around on the surface and we bombed them with various plastics and poppers. After a few hits but no hookups we went to a nice looking snag where i managed two rat barra, the biggest at 43cm. I trolled a micro mullet home and picked a small flathead. Nothing to brag about but as long as you catch a fish you can stay smiling

    Good on ya Ben!

Beats sitting at home infront of the idiot box (Television) mate!

Some nice little rats, a Barra is a Barra no matter how big or small, fishing for them at any size, they are great fun.
