back in the rivers

had my first fish in the river fish for a long time ,on the water at 4.00am chasing a jack found a few nice snags but had trouble finding those fish.landed my first 2hrs in a bycatch 500mm barra,released it, then got hammered by a feisty trev thought it was my first legal jack but not to be ,moved down towards the islands and there i was monstered by a big fish on 20lb braid 60lb leader.saw a little twig popping out of the water but under it a large snag shadow 2 twitches and bang all over in seconds this fish took a heavy drag like it was not there and shredded the leader left swirls like a mondy monster .also lost another lure to a good trev around 8kg hit me on the surface right next to the boat ,wrapped me around a tree ,slow day but still fun

Onya Al, nice to be back in the rivers. If youre in the river that I think youre in, no jacks near the 2 islands mate.

Awesome Al. Do ya reckon a smaller lure might have been a temptier offering for Mr Jack or were you mixing them up? Hope you are well mate.

Well done Al, some nice fish there mate. I used some XR10's on Jacks along with a couple of mates during winter of this year and found them pretty efffective.

I've down graded the size of lure just recently but have lost a few Red coloured fish doing so.
