    It a small pilot whale and yes its way out of its normal place to be, i would have thought it would have been strong enough to break free from a crab pot rope as wayno60 mentioned but could have ben sick and weak.

    I saw something big with a dark back surfacing in Mooloola rv, near Mackenzies bridge......
    Maybe the seal or a turtle...
