Yeah, thought of that when I was writing it. We used to grow some mangroves but it was that way you couldn't even pick up the seed off the edge of the road without a wildlife permit even if the seed were getting run over.

Carry some elastic bands. Quickest and easiest way to get the claws under control.

I tip my crabs straight into an ice slurry - they quieten down very quickly and can then be handled easily.
I did this one night with a large muddy, took it out and put in the back of my vehicle next morning while I cleaned my fish.Rushing to get back to a club weighin,I forgot the crab until I was half way home.I pulled over to the side of the busy main road and when I opened the back the crab had recovered in the heat and raced straight out onto the road.Needless to say I recieved quite a few comments as I tried to corner it and get it back into the ice.

Ok to my surprise I got 2 today LOL. One went 20cm the other going around 17 but he is bronze.
I've been told that means he is full can someone confirm?

The big one is a nasty critter he has bad intentions. They are both on seperate eskies until I come back from my next trip tomorrow.

IF I cook them tomorrow arvo will the meat keep ( refrigerated) until Friday arvo?

    Thanks for all the help

    Neil

P.S could not even raise a scale whilst waiting for pickups.
