For the most part i tend not to watch the sounder for fish, holes or structure I keep an eye out for though. Most of my fish caught have not been from seeing a fish on the screen. I very seldom fish under the boat.

Same here, but then, my sounder has a reputation for not showing fish so we pull up and check out any ground just in case.
