    They are certainly there mate.

I scored a 55cm and a 50cm in the creeks one year....mate of mine got a 53cm one late last year.
Jeff has nailed a 58cm one and others over 50...think young Chris got a 52cm one on his boat too.

There are a few up around the 60cm I have seen pics of.

I do believe the bigger fish are smarter and come out to play at night.

What is always strange to me is there are heaps around that 47 -48cm size....it always seems common.

Spade, I'm not sure on the science of it but it seems to be the further south the location the more common the larger jacks are. Obviously to do with their size before moving to offshore reefs, but weather it is age related or growth rate related I'm not sure. 50cm Jacks are a lot less common north of Brisbane.

Nice little creek you've got there Pete, great looking Jacks, and I love the blue eye shadow on the Bully.

    Cheers,

I didnt know the small bullies jumped until I got one last weekend at River Heads, he jumped all over the place. The bigger ones dont jump tho.

Im also seeing most jacks between 40-50cm in Hervey Bay/Burrum area. Over 50s are rarer, and even then they are 51-52s. Ive heard stories of 60s, but the only ones Ive seen pics of were from tidal lakes. Definitely got bigger ones from the goldy.

    cheers
    Andrew
