    Default Bundy croc

    Hi all

Weekend was pretty ordinary fishing wise.
Weather was great, warm and sunny but the Burnett river mouth was not holding much in the way of bait. There were no mackerel or tuna schools around the shipping channel and not even any birds on the move. A sure sign the fishing will be quiet.
Anyway, ended up the river trying out these new Trollcraft Crocs. First run along the top of the north wall produced this 85 cm flattie. I estimated her to weigh around 5 kilos (Burnett flatties always weigh heavy).
She put up quite a tussle on my little baitcaster outfit and had me fooled into thinking I had foul hooked a ray for a little while.
Anyway, it was the only fish of my trip, apart from a couple of pike.
Hopefully next weekend will see a bit more action.

    Cheers
    Dave
