After a great feed of fresh fish last night shared with my lot, good friends from down south and my sons 3 mates I needed to restock as the banquet had depleted my fresh fish reserves.
Up at 3 and on the water by 3:30am. No wind to speak of and the bottom of the tide to coincide dawn. Glassed out conditions had me cruising over to myspot with little effort. The slight NW wind had me holding in the outgoing tide without having to anchor, perfect!!
No bites as usual until the sun winked it's radiant eye on the horizon then it was on again! Spent the next 4hrs pulling in flatty after flatty. I had found that the 3inch curl tail grub could not be resisted as seen in the pics. They would take the gulp minnows but not as frequently as the grub. At 1 stage I tied on a HB but didn’t get a touch. I don’t think it was getting down deep enough.
Anyway, same sort of report as yesterday but today I got a couple of pics to make the report a bit more entertaining.
Got home and my littlest one was happy Dad has some more fish so she could feed the livers to the cats and dog.
Geez I love living here!! I will be out again in the morning somewhere.Might get up Bells and chase some Jacks now I have a feed sorted.
