    Default Kolan Rv

    Hi,
Never fished the Kolan, but heard it's the hottest spot around Bundaberg......
Anyway i saw this in the local paper this morning about the changing river mouth.

I'll wait till I can see the bottom or at least the sandbars.

    Hey mate,
Yeh the inside front page of todays local paper also showed that the mouth has been redirected and shows 3 new mouths.
It also shows a new island/shortcut has formed downstrream of the the Booyan Train Bridge and bypasses the region around Yandaren Creek and brings you out a lot closer to Miara.
Real good shortcut to Miara now from Booyan

It is a terrific spot. Stevo do not go there in the dark until you have plotted it in the day light. You got lost when you knew it you have no hope now.

Yeah Thanks Daz, Hopefully it makes a better channel for me this time!! LOL

I cant wait to get over there and check it out....Massive amounts of water, just phenominal the way it changes..I like how Cr Barnes says "we will bring experts in to see what will happen with the mouth"...WTF are they gunna do!...tell the river "sorry Kolan, you need to change the way you flow to suit Bundy council!"

Feel sorry for the Miara crowd. They will bounce back as always

    Cheers Steve

Gotta wait to see where the sandbars snags are....
I'm interested in Elliott rv as it's the closest.

Looks like the park will be better off in the long run. May even end up in a bay if the river continues to take the shortest route.
    To the shed!
