Baitfish / Livies collection locations?

Hey All,

I am thinking about getting back into livebaiting.
I was wondering if people had a bit of advice about where to catch live bait in Brisi.
Boggie Creek comes to mind, anywhere else I should try?
I don't have a cast net. but I do have access to a small drag net and I have a few jigs that I use in NSW.
Any general pointers appreciated.

Best bet would be a cast net..... Drawstring all the way for me but drag your net around any where and you should get somthing

Best to get a cast net for better result.

i would suggest the boat ramp at Pinkenba. Cast out on the right side of the ramp (facing the river) and you should end up with a decent amount of herrings, mullets and if you are lucky, prawns. Don't let the net sink to the bottom because it get pretty snaggy.

Ha....yeah yeah.. 'Mr Poppers 81', I wouldn't have to revert to bait if you took the time to stop playing golf and took me fishing and gave me some schooling in plastics eh.

Can you do midweek?

Golf is terrible anyway... Can totally understand why I stopped playing for 10 years the better you get, the more frustrating it is.

After exams we are on.
Lets do a New Moon session.
A bloke who works at The Tackle Warehouse told that me that he is smashing jew on the run out, (about half way through the run out - so the run is nice and strong) and he is using plastics/hardbodies at night casting into where there is light on the water. Weird thing is tho....he is casting in front of the structure, not behind. He reckons that the jew sit in front of the structure/pylon.....weird, I had never heard of that eh.
Anyway....lets hit it !
