    Default Fishing With Pete..

    400_10201745336296838_1421460606_n.jpg

So..Saturday morning sitting at work, weather wasn't terrible Pete and i,decided "Bugger this" lets go for a fish. So we threw a few beers in the esky, couple spin rods and a few plastics and off we headed. The SEQFA guys were up doing some filming for an upcoming DVD so we caught up with them for a beer, and got a few pics of them having some fun with the stack of big Tarpon that are around ATM.
After that we went up and had a fish along a bit of sandstone, with Pete getting on the board first with a nice tarpon and after a few more casts the S2 loaded up and after a stubborn fight a nice little winter barra slid into the net. You can see the plastic that did the damage, and the way its rigged. We saw Keith,Rob and Andrew a bit later having more fun with the tarpon, but it got pretty windy,so after a couple of beers we headed up a bit. The next hour was a steady procession of fish, not fast but enough to keep us interested. A few nice trevally,Queenfish and a little Thready toi keep things interesting.
Funnily enough,Pete couldnt get a hit on the normally reliable Bloodworm 2.5" Zman Grubz, with i think all the fish up there coming on the new Greasy Prawn colour. I must say im becoming a bit of a fan.
In saying that,i guess you can only catch fish on what you are throwing and i have had it on a bit lately. Anyway, once the sun dropped below the horizon, the temperature plummeted,so we grabbed our last beer and headed home. Pretty good little session and was good to catch up with the other boys...

Good work chewie and pete, I figured you must have cleared off early! Looks like your mates got into a few too. If this wind isn't going to clear off, might be time for another look up that way

Awesome stuff Chewy, great pics as usual. Good to see the river producing even in trying conditions. Petey looks like he's enjoying himself.
