Cheers lads. Just hope they keep them selves out of the nets this spring so they can spawn this year. Should be a good season round the traps.

yeah cheers. Lol. My live tank is pretty big. Perfect for resting big fish. Doubles as a kill tank. Can fit a 15 kilo Spanish in it. And it seems I got my 4pound knots sorted which give me confidence in them.

That is an awesome idea, great for reviving those big fish that give their all during the fight. Have you tried putting any large threadies in there? Here a few people struggle with getting them swimming again.

I will stick with eight lb lol

Yeah mate had some threadfin in there. They do get knocked around coming from deeper water in the Brisbane river. I got 12v deck wash pump which I can divert to my live tank for lots of water quickly and just face them into the end the water pumps in. They come good pretty quick. And an oxygen infuser in the tank which helps the fish out no end. If I'm not executing them for the hot plate, I like to look after releasees. Particularly big spawning fish.

and I'm upgrading to 8 pound by next trip too BTW
