    Default My weekend

Been pretty busy lately and haven't had the chance to fish as much as I would like but I got out Sat and Sun this weekend. Saturday was a yak session near home. Picked up a couple of flattys one undersize and one mid to high fifties. Both fell to Gulp 3 inch curl tail grub. Also tried for whiting on poppers but only managed one bump

This morning we hit the water and mucked around out the front of Mooloolaba for snaps. Got smashed by 2 good fish on my light combo (7-5kg rod, 10lb Nanofil and a zman 4 inch streakz grub). 1st one was going to spool me so I tightened the drag till the leader popped next one ran hard for a bit then pulled the hooks. I upped the ante to my 5500 Penn, 25lb braid and 25lb leader. Got done again!! 3 good fish lost. Anyway, the size of fish reduced but not the frequency. I boated 9 snaps and my mate got 3. I kept my bag and old mate kept his 3. Was a great morning out.

    Cheers

Good to see some little snapper over the rail. There's nothing wrong with executing them either. They do taste nice
