Pretty fish when young and frightening when old
Now, I'm not saying we should invoke capital punishment for Stupidity, but how about we just take all the warning labels off everything and let nature sort itself out?

Sounds good. A lot of the mature ones died in North Queensland a couple of years ago.

And this is what they look like when they grow up!
My sisters father in law Sid, caught this beauty land based at Cape Melville in 2012. He threw a chuck of bait out on an old fibreglass Jarvis Walker outfit(the reel gets dunked in salt water for a bit of a clean kind of outfit), while we had lunch. When he first hooked it we all thought it was a stingray it was such a dead weight. Then as he got it into the shallows we spotted something that resembled the Lockness Monster!! We didn't get weight or length, the fish was kept in the water at all time to ensure it's safe release. It was pretty special to witness and Sid was stoked to say the least!
    Cheers Kim.

There is a monster under the piers at Port Douglas. It gets fed late each afternoon.I watched as a large tuna head was tied on a rope and thrown in.The fish almost pulled the feeder off the jetty.

Mick, I don't know when you were there but the were many deaths around here of mature ones.

There used to be one at Palm Cove jetty that would take macks that were thrown back but it disappeared.

I was there in 2011 and 2013. I believe it has been around for quite some time and turns up to be fed each afternoon.A large crowd gathers each day to watch the show.
