    Default Moreton Bay Calamari

On the water at gentleman's hours today. Left Manly at about 1030 and scooted across to find the tide starting to run out at my squid spot.

I love these creatures and how they adapt to their surroundings. The dark photo was as soon as I opened the lid of the live well before they got accustomed to the light. The light photo was after leaving the light on inside the well for a while.

Ended up with 7 all up, that came in the first 90 mins. The next hour was quiet but the conditions were magic so I didn't really care. Red/orange was the stand out colour today.

Going back tomorrow a bit earlier when there's a bit more water.

    Similar result today.

Got 9. Had 2 follow and saw 2 free swimming, so a bit more water around the top of the tide seems to be more productive.

Nice work. We saw a stack with the head lamps when we launched at wello point the other week, didn't have a jig of course. . I love watching their pigmentation flickering when you get them out of the water, it's like an old analog tv that has lost signal!

Nice job Rhet, they sure are fascinating creatures. Not to mention a lot of fun to catch, taste great and good for kids to chase also !
Dad reckons fishing is 10% brains and 95% muscle, the rest is just good luck.
