    diawa sol for me lot better drag washer set up than shimano
    the world is a lot better place if you just smile

    Speak for yourself Alex. I'm still using a $15 ebay reel after 6 years but the real (reel) fisherman in the house has just bought a Sol 4000H and loaded it with YGK Galis FC 30lb braid to go on some fancy rod (as yet unused and may I say, unbroken)

    I reckon Sustains are better than Ci4s. They have stronger internal specs.
    According to my chemistry teacher, alcohol IS a solution!

    Sustains also come in Ci4 spec. If it's only Barra and Jack your chasing, then Sustain may be a better option over a Stradic. I have 2 Stradic 3000Ci4's, can't fault them, but used predominatley for flathead, snapper, Bass and natives with the odd Barra trip every now and then.

    Don't overlook the Pfleuger high end range either, they make some good reels.
