    Default jack and jew

Been a pretty good last couple of sessions on the Goldy. Scored a nice Jewie on a diezel minnow & picked up the jack last night on a 3"minnowz. Computer is playing up so cant write too much.

    Sorry bout that...

Went for a quick flick Fri night around the local to see what was doing. Tied on a diezel minnow as i have quite a few but very rarely use them. Only planned on fishing for an hour or two so wasn't really expecting much..more just happy to wet a line after 5 days of slogging my butt off. Things were pretty quiet for the first half hour..then as the tide turned the fish started to chew. Couple of taps here and there, then whack im on. The Jewie played up a bit but i was fishing in only a few metres of water..so was sort of expecting him to put on a show. Couple of runs and direction changes later and he was netted.

Was too shattered Sat to fish so just chilled out for the day..
Sunday: The old man & i did a run up to Brissy to check out the 4x4 & fishing/boating expo. Was a good day out..Met a few people whilst there, one being a quietly spoken fella by the name of Dave Brace. Such a friendly and approachable guy, we got chatting about all things fishing as you would imagine. Great guy and very knowledgable.

Snuck out last night for a crack at a Jack and was honestly ready to pull the pin after 1 1/2 hrs of fruitless casts..when my
3" minnowz got smacked in the tightest little area. Knew it was a jack cause of it's dirty tactics. He had my rod buckled under a pontoon and put it at an angle where i thought for sure my rod would snap. This jack had as much spirit in him as a jack of 55 would. So bloody agro..gotta love em tho.

Love the colour of that jack.
