So with Jode starting two weeks holidays we threw the dogs in the boat and headed out the burrum for a look, hoping for a queenfish or trevally. The water temp is up a bit, and they proved hard to find. What is in plague proportions is tarpon, and a lot of good sized ones at that. I put one on the measure and he was a bit over 62 cms.
They didnt bite that well in the blustery Northerly(good one Livio) I have added a clip that jode took during my misfortune of trying to land a tarpon. I now need a new net after yesterday. Anyway, we had coffee and snacks, a run on a sandbank, and a few fish. Also the Wals Camp ramp is pretty clean atm, so that was a bonus.
